The Office of Security Cooperation (OSC) from the United States Department of Defense has donated a Skills House to the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) to enhance the training of military personnel.
The facility, located at the Army Special Operations Training School (ASOTS) in Daboya, near Tamale, is expected to strengthen practical skills and boost operational readiness among officers.
A Skills House serves as a specialized training center designed to equip security forces with hands-on experience in various operational tactics, benefiting military, law enforcement, and emergency response teams.
Speaking on behalf of the Chief of the Army Staff, Lieutenant General Bismarck Kwasi Onwona, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) Northern Command, Brigadier General Frank Nartey Tei, received the facility with gratitude.
He thanked the US government and the US Ambassador to Ghana for their continued support, highlighting the importance of the donation in improving the capacity of the GAF.
