Multiple award-winning actor Denzel Washington has revealed that he will be starring in the upcoming Black Panther 3 movie.
The 69-year-old actor made this announcement during a recent appearance on The Today Show, where he also mentioned other projects he plans to be a part of before his official retirement.
"I was contacted by director Ryan Coogler about a role in the yet-to-be-released Black Panther 3. I am looking forward to it," Washington shared.
He also encouraged movie lovers to anticipate the thrilling new addition to the Black Panther franchise, promising an exciting cinematic experience.
Black Panther (2018) is a groundbreaking American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name.Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, it is the 18th installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Directed by Ryan Coogler, the film features a stellar cast, including Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa/Black Panther, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Sterling K. Brown, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, and Andy Serkis.
In the first film, T'Challa ascends to the throne of Wakanda following the death of his father. However, his reign is threatened by Killmonger (Jordan), who challenges the nation's isolationist policies and plans to spark a global revolution.
