After Thursday night’s dramatic disruptions, the committee is set to resume its scrutiny of ministerial nominees, including Kwabena Mintah Akandoh for Health and Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa for Foreign Affairs.
Last night’s session took a chaotic turn when a dispute between the Majority and Minority over sitting beyond 10 PM escalated into a physical altercation.
The Minority, insisting the session should be adjourned, reacted strongly when the Majority pushed forward with the vetting. The confrontation led to the destruction of parliamentary furniture and equipment, forcing security officers to intervene and restore order.
