Nigerian music sensation, Tiwa Savage, has opened up about the timing of her career breakthrough, attributing it to a divine purpose.
During a recent appearance on The Receipts podcast, the 44-year-old singer shared her belief that her success came later in life to serve as an inspiration to others, especially young women who may feel uncertain about their future.
Reflecting on her career trajectory, Tiwa explained that she once questioned why success eluded her in her twenties. However, she now believes that God's timing was intentional.
"I feel like God has done this on purpose," she shared. "God delayed my success for a purpose. I used to be like, why wasn’t I successful in my twenties? I started succeeding in my thirties."
Tiwa’s rise to fame in her thirties has become a symbol of hope for many, particularly those who might feel the pressure to achieve success early.
"It's to bless other people," she added. "It's to bless that 25-year-old girl who’s scared about what the future holds. If she opens my page and sees that I started in my thirties, she would be like, ‘I still have time.’”
Starting her career in her late twenties, Tiwa Savage eventually gained international recognition and has since become one of Africa’s most influential female artists. Her story serves as a powerful reminder that success can be achieved at any stage of life, offering encouragement to those who may doubt their potential.
