SIC to begin payment of final dividend for 2023 financial year in January 2025

A Ghanaian insurance company SIC has announced plans to pay a final dividend of GHS0.0511 per share for the 2023 financial year. The dividend distribution is scheduled to commence on January 30. 2025.
In a statement issued on December 10, 2024, SIC disclosed that shareholders registered in the company’s books as of the close of business on Friday, December 13, 2024, will be eligible to receive the dividend.
The register of shareholders will be closed from Monday, December 16, 2024, to Tuesday, December 17, 2024, to facilitate the process. The ex-dividend date has been set for Wednesday, December 11, 2024.
“Consequently, an investor purchasing SIC shares before this date will be entitled to the final dividend.
However, an investor buying SIC shares on or after Wednesday, December 11, 2024, will not be entitled to the final dividend,” a part of the statement read.
