President Leila rules out 'unfit' Neymar joining Palmeiras

Palmeiras president Leila Pereira has firmly ruled out the possibility of Neymar joining the Brazilian club, citing the forward's lack of fitness.
With Neymar facing a fresh injury setback that will keep him sidelined for the next few weeks, Leila emphasized that Palmeiras will not sign players who are not fully prepared to play.
"Neymar will not join Palmeiras, this club isn’t a medical department," Leila told UOL. "I want a player who can come in immediately and play if the manager wants. I won’t accept signing someone who isn’t fit to play."
Neymar, who has been plagued by injuries, recently made his return to action for Al Hilal, only to suffer another injury in his second match, leaving him out for the next 3-5 weeks.
Leila also suggested that Neymar is likely to return to his first club, Santos, where he began his professional career. "He's a great player, but he's going to Santos," she stated.
