Journalist Kofi Adomah Nwanwani has opened up about the excruciating pain he has been enduring since suffering an eye injury during a musketry display in Dormaa.
Speaking for the first time about his ordeal, he revealed that despite undergoing multiple treatments, he continues to experience severe headaches and discomfort, making rest and sleep nearly impossible.
“I want to talk before anything happens. I’m in severe pain with my head aching badly, but I need to speak out before anything happens,” he said, his emotions evident.
The incident, which occurred in December 2024, left him injured when gunpowder residue struck his eye. Even in pain, Kofi remained committed to his work, covering the festival before later traveling to Dubai for medical care.
However, beyond the physical pain, he expressed disappointment over the lack of support from those he expected to stand by him. He also alleged that some traditional leaders in Dormaa attempted to suppress the incident to avoid public scrutiny.
“If anybody will do this to me, I didn’t expect it to come from Bono people,” he lamented.
Despite his struggles, Kofi Adomah remains grateful for his life and thanked his family and Ghanaians for their unwavering support and prayers.
