Bishop Salifu Amoako, Founder and General Overseer of Alive Chapel International, was involved in a five-vehicle collision near the Tesano-Papaye area on Tuesday, December 24.
Despite the significant damage to all the vehicles, including his own, no injuries were reported.
Eyewitnesses stated that the accident occurred when a truck suffered brake failure, triggering a chain collision. The truck driver fled the scene immediately after the incident.
Emergency responders confirmed that all individuals involved escaped unhurt, and authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the brake failure while working to locate the truck’s driver.
This comes after Bishop Salifu Amoako's 16-year-old son, who was responsible for an October 12 accident that claimed the lives of two minors, has been found guilty of manslaughter. He has been sentenced to six months at the Senior Correctional Center.
The parents of the teenager were also fined 500 penalty units each, amounting to GHc6,000, for failing to supervise their son. Additionally, they were ordered to cover damages caused by the accident, including the replacement of a light pole valued at GHc8,000.
