The final round of matches in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers concluded on Tuesday night, with 24 nations securing their spots for the continental event.
Seven-time record holders Egypt went unbeaten, recording four wins in six matches to top Group C. They are joined by Botswana, who finished second to mark their return for the first time since 2012.
2022 World Cup semi-finalists and next year's host nation, Morocco, are also through after dominating Group B with six wins from six matches.
Other powerhouses, including defending champions Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, and Algeria, will all be present at the continental showpiece.
List of qualified nations
Meanwhile, it was a major disappointment for four-time winners Ghana, who remained winless throughout the qualifiers, including suffering two home defeats, to finish bottom of Group F.
Angola and Sudan secured the qualification spots from the group.
Elsewhere, Togo, Lesotho, Cape Verde, Madagascar, and Sierra Leone are among the nations that failed to qualify for the tournament.
The 2025 AFCON is set to take place in December, with the date for the group stage draw expected to be announced soon.
